A Summary of Little-Known Automotive Parts That Perform Significant Roles
Everybody knows that the transmission is a major part of any auto, many would say possibly the most important component of a car or truck, in fact. Likewise, there are the brakes, that are also looked upon as one of the most important parts in building a vehicle which is not only complete but also safe and dependable. However, there are other important areas of a car to consider that just about everyone knows or appreciates, such as the engine, the radiator, the wheels and the axles. These are all quite large parts of any motor vehicle that a majority of people have a minimum of a basic understanding of.
But what about those parts that we never see on a car or truck, the ones that are so tiny or hidden that we never know they exist? The truth is, a number of the littlest parts in a car play the biggest roles, whether it is safety related, performance related or otherwise. Here we will check out a few of those parts and how they relate to the vehicle as a whole, including the mechanical solenoid, the pipe mount and the hydraulic valve.
The mechanical solenoid is an extremely important safety feature on any automotive. This part prevents the auto from doing things that would be adverse to the safety of the driver. For example, the mechanical solenoid is often included as a part of a gear lever as a lock out actuator. Essentially, what the mechanical solenoid in the gear lever does is it prevents the car from being placed into a reverse gear while it is moving forward. By stopping this action from ever taking place, the mechanical solenoid lock out actuator can save lives and give motorists peace of mind while out on the road.
The pipe mount is yet another important part of any car that few individuals ever see or know about, but still has a great effect on car performance. Pipe mounts are friction-less suspended armature that keeps cars running efficiently no matter what the conditions are. Many of them operate on hydraulic oil and help to regulate the pressure in different areas of the car.
Finally, there is the hydraulic valve, which is an additional part of the car that is comparably small but has a very large job when it comes to car safety. There are a wide range of hydraulic valves which are regularly used in cars, with the size and type of motor vehicle often determining which type of valve will be used. Among the different kinds of hydraulic valves are direct drive valves, on off valves and high frequency valves. Along with mechanical solenoids and pipe mounts, these valves are some of the behind the scenes workers in any car or truck on the road today.
